Minos Beach Art Hotel has lured discerning guests to its private peninsula on Mirabello Bay since 1963. While most coastal construction has been kept hundreds of feet from shore, Crete's original luxury hideaway occupies the entire waterfront. The 125 low-lying, art-led keys tumble to the water's edge, some with private rocky platforms and sea ladders; villas feature private pools. Dozens of sculptures from the G. & A. Mamidakis Foundation are scattered about the grounds and lush gardens. Spa therapies are infused with native ingredients; curated activities immerse you in Cretan culture.
