An icon of sixties retro-allure, it was conceived by the Aga Khan IV and designed by famed architect Michele Busiri Vici, who created a sanctuary of white, organically curved buildings that blend seamlessly into the landscape while framing views of the turquoise waters beyond. Upon opening in 1965, Romazzino quickly became coveted among Sardinia’s stylish clientele. Italian and international socialites frequented the hotel, meeting up with friends who moored their yachts off Romazzino or in nearby Porto Cervo.…
